Is there really a way to make money on line? ?

I have checked into so many bogus web sites. What about E bay?
Okay, I tried to check out these web sites that were mentioned and McAfee cautioned me immediately! I would like more info on E Bay from successful sellers. thanks.

There are many legitimate ways. However, most are scams.

Ebay is fine. It's a good, legitimate company. If you have products to sell, great. A lot of people contract with drop shippers, so someone orders from your listing on E bay, and it gets fulfilled by a third party.

A few ways to smell a rip-off:

(1) If someone wants money up-front from you before you start performing some services. Now, it may be OK to pay for something upfront–an e Book, for instance–that provides legitimate information. But as Blog found out, "pay to play" is not a good idea.

(2) If someone promises you large amounts of money after a very short time. People do make money online, but it takes time and effort. You may earn a few pennies here and there filling out surveys, but not the hundreds or thousands of dollars a week.

(3) If someone says you can make a lot of money without spending money. Now, this isn't contradicting Point One. There are plenty of people who make a lot of money. But they also spend a lot. They do pay-per-click advertising, they do videos, they do all sorts of things. They view their online business as a business. If you were operating a bricks-and-mortar business, you'd have rent, utilities, advertising, etc. Online, you have domain names, hosting, auto responders, advertising, web site design, etc.

Anyhow, use those three tests to weed out the scams.

Hope that helps.
